With a focus on Florida butterfly species and native plants, environmental education and local awareness in the Tampa Bay area, Tampa Bay Butterfly Foundation (TBBF) was established to support the conservation of butterflies and pollinators and the restoration of their natural wildlife habitats. By working globally with university research partners, providing educational and research opportunities and community outreach programs, and through multi-faceted fundraising efforts, the Foundation aims to elevate public awareness of the importance of butterflies.
Simple actions can help reverse the critical threat to pollinator habitats. By attending a meeting of, or joining, a local chapter of NABA, by educating yourself on native plants to establish pollinator habitats, and by donating to TBBF, you can make a positive impact on butterfly conservation efforts.
Your investment, at any level, will help to create programming, outreach, and education including communicating the importance of nature to children through our nature camp programs. Please help our conservation efforts take flight!
Join our volunteer team and participate with establishing and maintaining pollinator habitats on a monthly basis throughout our Tampa Bay community. Enjoy our regular butterfly walks as we count butterflies in our area.
Come nurture nature with us.

From our speaking engagements to increase public awareness to butterfly walks and community plantings, we are always flutterings in the Tampa Bay community!
